MondayThis week, your job is to re-read your poems, your dedications, your explications to see if they make your audience love the poems you have selected. Remember, poetry and writing are not "just self expression. You have to have creative control," as Lemon Andersen says in the 9 minute video below. Use the three videos for today for more on how to explicate/analyze/explain your poem to your audience.
TuesdayCheck your explications for a good introduction (hook + main idea), solid content and effective essay style. Each one should have at least three main points that support your main idea and a conclusion. They should be about 300-500 words and may be in 3-5 paragraphs. The classic five paragraph essay may be modified to structure these.

Today you should build your Bibliography and work your design. Choose images, fonts, background templates, and other art or sound work that goes with your theme, would appeal to your audience and ties everything together artfully.
Below are tutorials on your Bibliography and some powerpoint tutorials. ThursdayTime to focus on revision. Tomorrow, you'll focus on editing and upload, then sending to your audience person.
FridayEditing for words, spelling, punctuation.
Congrats. You did it.You did it. Now just upload powerpoints to slideshare.net or google docs. Make sure Mrs. Weir and your recipient have access to it, so make it public or unlisted. Facebook pages should be shared with Mrs. Weir, as should private blog pages or websites.
Copy the weblink (URL) into the comments in the Blackboard Dropbox and pick up the survey link for your recipient to fill out by Wed. May 28 at 11:59pm. Now, breathe. And, finish that last book. You have a fun final review challenge. Not a review at all! |
